I had my doubts when I first hear Rihanna’s new album, Rated R. I felt like it might be a lot of pop sugar with no grit or jungle dancehall like we first heard from her. Well there is still some of that sucrose, but then there is Rude Boy. A playful grinnuendo with girlswag style with a tinge of glitch electro that is quite refreshing, it’s the one track I keep revisiting. Then there is the video that shows Rihanna’s commitment to her roots in Barbados as well as fashion, color and art. Excellent compliments to an all around solid sex laden pop song.
